hans.schuetze6 Aug 2012 09:09Good morning everyone.
Almost two and a half years ago, I bought a new kitchen and chose the Korrekt folding handles at that time. Now, as I want to expand the kitchen due to a move, this choice is turning out to be a mistake.
By the time I reached the third or fourth piece of furniture or accessory, Ikea suddenly discontinued production without any notice. As if that wasn’t enough, it seems there are no handles that fit the drilling distance of 125mm (5 inches), so I can’t even properly replace my "old" handles without either drilling additional holes in the fronts or, sorry, buying new fronts altogether, which are quite expensive.
So, here is my request: I urgently need Korrekt handles! I need about six pieces. Please offer them! I am willing to pay well!
I also have a question about the handles: is it "normal" that the screws supplied for the ABSTRAKT fronts are rather unsuitable? The long screws are too long, the short ones too short, and sometimes the handles feel loose. I have already improvised by using washers with the long screws (which doesn’t look great at all *ugh*), but that can’t be the proper solution, can it?

IKEA-Experte6 Aug 2012 12:08Are the holes drilled exactly at right angles? I’m surprised that Korrekt doesn’t have the standard spacing of 128 mm (5 inches). And there’s also the issue with the screws. If you file each hole 1.5 mm (0.06 inches) longer, you should reach the 128 mm (5 inches). I imagine a handle like Vinna will cover everything. But measure the center-to-center distance of the holes at the handle again precisely. The easiest way to solve the screw problem is to trim the screws to the right length with a hacksaw or buy screws of the correct length at your hardware store.

hans.schuetze6 Aug 2012 12:21I regularly check the marketplace. Recently, some were sold, but I saw it too late.
The measurements are correct; 125mm (5 inches) from hole center to hole center. Filing them down might work, I’ll give it a try. Sawing off the screws—*curse*—why didn’t I think of that?

hans.schuetze3 Jun 2013 09:14Just found this page now. Still interested in the correct handles? I have a few left to sell. But I guess that after all this time it’s probably no longer relevant, right?

Nayla_10684 Jun 2013 10:56Hi,
I have the same handles in my kitchen. Since they have a different design than the "standard," I probably won’t give them up anymore, so the kitchen will have to stay as it is.
Try offering your handles on ibää; you’ll be surprised at the price they can fetch.
Best regards
