Hello everyone,
Attached are our measurements (these are basically fixed; theoretically, we have an extra 55cm (22 inches) of space towards the bedroom, but we have planned in our dresser there ;-) ) and the question if anyone has any suggestions.
We like well:
- the walk-in shower (will be extended to 110cm (43 inches) in width)
- the space between the sink and the bathtub – currently, we have the exact opposite, and generous space for four people is a must
- the bathtub with a partial wall (not yet shown here) towards the floor-to-ceiling cabinet
Works somewhat:
- the solution with the laundry chute in the corner… it shouldn’t get wet given the distance to the shower. We don’t have much room here (except for about 15cm (6 inches) in height up to the step) as it must pass through the pantry below
- toilet arrangement… a width of 90cm (35 inches) should be enough according to the planner… of course, we would prefer it to be a bit more concealed
If you have any improvements in mind, we would be grateful; it doesn’t have to be a T-layout!
Thanks!

Hello,
somehow everything in your design looks pushed into the corner in that large room.
Unfortunately, I can’t immediately think of a layout that works well with this window and door arrangement.
In my opinion, for such a large bathroom, you should plan for a width of 100cm (40 inches) for the toilet niche. I also don’t like the laundry chute being located inside the shower. Will the shower partition wall be full height?

I find the placement acceptable. However, I would suggest using different dimensions and drawing it separately to scale.
For the toilet, 1 meter (3.3 feet), and for the shower width (not depth) also 1 meter (3.3 feet), with a shower depth of about 1.50 meters (5 feet). The passageway will result naturally.
The rough construction dimension should be slightly larger, around 1.05 meters (3.4 feet) each. That way, it won’t get too tight with the shaft.
For the washbasin, make sure there is enough countertop space; the basin itself can be somewhat smaller.
I would choose a medium size for the bathtub, but you should consider how much cabinet space you need. Otherwise, the cabinet area could be placed under the basins and a single unit in front of the window. You can also hang a stylish wall cabinet above the toilet, close to the ceiling, for toilet supplies.

Is the shower partition going to be full height? Our general contractor thinks the shower depth should be at least 150–160cm (59–63 inches) to prevent water from splashing all over the front with rain shower heads. We were also considering adding about 5cm (2 inches) to the toilet width.
Yes, we agree it’s not 100% ideal, but the contractor will be nearly 2 meters (6.5 feet) away from the shower...
The partition wall will be full height on the washbasin side; on the toilet side, it will be about 220cm (87 inches) tall.
We have planned roof ventilation for the bathroom to help with dehumidification.

I would choose a medium-sized bathtub... but you should check how much cabinet space you need. Cabinet space would otherwise be under the washbasins and in front of the window as a single unit. You can also hang a neat wall cabinet above the toilet, close to the ceiling, for toilet essentials.Nicole, I always feel a bit anxious before reading your replies... You’ve caused me several sleepless nights with various feedback. ;-) But that’s absolutely not meant in a bad way; I really appreciate that you say what you think... that’s exactly how it should be in a forum. :-)
Okay, so:
Toilet rough opening width 1.05 meters (3.4 feet),
Shower rough depth 1.55 meters (5.1 feet) up to the passage.
The cabinet space will depend on the bathtub size for us... we have a bathroom fixture selection appointment in two weeks. Then we plan to have a shelf on each side (tile width, about 30 cm (12 inches)), then a full-height drywall partition, and in the remaining niche, the cabinet made by the carpenter. That’s our plan.
