RomeoZwoHello forum,
I am looking for an architect with experience in the major renovation of a listed building, a house built in 1914 in Dresden Hellerau.
It is important to me that the focus is not primarily on preserving everything possible, but rather on adapting the interior of the house to enable modern living while respecting the requirements of the historic preservation authorities.
For example, access to the garden currently goes through the bathroom, which is accessible from the eat-in kitchen on the ground floor. The bedrooms are located on the upper floor. An architect with a more artistic background tried to convince me that this layout, common in 1914, is still the best solution today...
So, the goal is to develop a modified floor plan within the scope of what can be approved, based on experience and commitment.
I appreciate any contact recommendations!

Innovative residential and housing concepts
in Leipzig.
Although he is always busy and reluctant to take on new clients, if you persuade him a little, he might still add you to his portfolio. Best regards to him from Berlin; we worked on a few projects together.
Mr. Boran
Mr. Müller is the right contact.

As I already advised you in https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/grundrissaenderung-bei-kernsanierung-denkmalgeschuetztes-reh.29750/#post-299329: investigate who has previously renovated houses by this architect. He has designed several buildings locally and in the surrounding area, and I suspect that many of them still exist.
So, if I were you, I would contact local architects aged around 60 and older, and directly ask for references regarding which of this architect’s works have already been renovated. Such professionals are usually known to the cultural affairs officer, museum director, or the Lions / Rotary Club president.
