Hello everyone,

I am looking for a very specific bench.
About 6 weeks ago, I was at IKEA Regensburg, where I saw a white wooden dining set with a white wooden bench. On the white bench lay cushions and a fur throw. It looked quite cozy. The bench was placed against the wall.
Unfortunately, I didn’t check the name... and since it takes me 1 hour and 30 minutes by car to get to IKEA Regensburg, I am hoping for your help.
So, it was white and had drawers. I can rule out the benches listed under the section stools & benches on IKEA’s website.
While browsing the IKEA website, the only item that came close to my memory was the Hemnes TV bench. But is the Hemnes TV bench really suitable as a seating bench? Could that be it? I’m puzzled.
Unfortunately, I don’t have much more information.

Many thanks for your help.

Hi,
I visited Ikea today and took a look...
I found a kitchen with a dining nook, where a bench combination was built using the range hood cabinets sized 598mm x 370mm x 350mm (23.5 inches x 14.6 inches x 13.8 inches), matching the Lidingö fronts. The whole setup is on 8 cm (3 inch) Capita legs with a 60 cm (24 inch) countertop on top.
It includes drawers and white Lidingö fronts, and the cushions and fur covers were also available.

Best regards,

Nordkäppchen, you’re amazing!!!!!
The photo with the kitchen shows the bench seating I was looking for!!!!!
I would never have thought that the extractor hood cabinet combined with a countertop is exactly the bench seating I wanted.
Thank you so much.
Thanks also to everyone else for the tips. I’m absolutely thrilled now.

Glad that could be clarified for you.
If you want to replicate this, you should know the following.
The front is a standard door. To attach it to the pull-out, you need suitable mounting parts and a template. These are only included with the aluminum pull-out front. You should be able to get them individually from customer service.

Unfortunately, in Germany, the cabinet carcass is only available with a depth of 35 cm (14 inches). This means the countertop overhangs at the back by 23 cm (9 inches) without any support underneath. If someone were to sit with their back directly against the wall, the bench might possibly tip. But nobody sits like that, right?
