Hello,

I am new here and have a question right away.
(Is there generally a members-only forum to introduce yourself or something similar?)

My question:
Recently, during a renovation of an old building in Wroclaw, I took the following photo:

Red window frame in raw brick construction under construction works

What are these "shaped bricks" called? Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you very much

These are cornice stones, but you are also correct with shaped stones 😉

You can find our preliminary planning forum at the very bottom (sorry, but I can’t link with Tapatalk at the moment 🙁)

Still, a warm welcome!

Thank you for the reply.

Where can you get this type of brick? I only keep finding small workshops that produce something like this by hand for heritage restoration projects.
In the photo I posted at the beginning, they look more like... well, "prefabricated components."

Any ideas?
