Hello everyone,
We are looking for a solid wood dining table about 240cm (95 inches) long to comfortably seat 10 people.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
We are thinking of oak for the color. We really like an X-shaped black frame for the base.
Best regards and thanks

Build your own table:
2 pieces of 40mm (1.6 inches) thick laminated wood slats, with a narrow walnut strip in the middle as a contrast (gluing/biscuit joints/planing), optionally mounted on three low crossbars. The whole assembly on industrial-style table legs/frames. Finished.
The material costs are approximately 500-600+ EUR.

Costs are around 500-600+ EUR for the materials. You can also make great tables using scaffold planks, stain, and a brush.

Build your own tableOne advantage is that you have more flexibility regarding the dimensions.
Personally, I find most ready-made tables too narrow. They are only really suitable as “long banquet tables” where people sit opposite each other in rows. Anyone who has ever sat with four or more people in a row knows the difficulty of communicating beyond the person directly next to you. In addition, the space in the middle is hardly sufficient, and depending on the design, the spots near the table legs are uncomfortable.
Whenever possible, I would recommend a very deep table that allows two people to sit at each end (at least about 120cm (47 inches) deep). With a length of only 200cm (79 inches), you can fit eight people around the table who can all see each other and share almost the same surface area in the middle. However, this space is used much more efficiently.

We have one from Fueg (search for masstisch).Same here! After a few years, we also bought a bench to go with the table! Everything worked out perfectly!
