Hello everyone,
We are looking for a solid wood dining table about 240cm (95 inches) long to comfortably seat 10 people.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

We are thinking of oak for the color. We really like an X-shaped black frame for the base.

Best regards and thanks

We have the Nativo Excalibur. The price-performance ratio is outstanding. Especially solid, with continuous slats measuring 4cm (1.6 inches) thick. However, I fear that the production of the oak tables has been discontinued due to the raw material price increasing so dramatically.

Great solid oak wood panels. Sourced from old barns, then joined together into a raw slab with optional choice of legs.

There is definitely a wide range of options available in all qualities and designs. For example, Venjakob offers very good quality at a reasonable price.

Thank you for your replies. We found a great table at our local furniture store, but it is made of acacia. Now we are wondering if it will match the kitchen (which will probably be oak) and the living room wall unit (Wotan oak).

Does anyone have experience with this?

Yes, it’s safe to say that this cannot be determined from here. Acacia and oak differ in their grain patterns. The color is usually influenced by the treatment applied by the installer. Wood is also a natural material. There are variations even within the same species.
Unlike artificial solid-colored surfaces, different types and tones of wood can be easily combined. It should work out fine.

240cm (95 inches) and 10 people is not comfortable! We have 260cm (102 inches), and it’s still quite tight.
