In 2021/2022, I built my house working with an architect and managing the individual trades myself. Recently, I noticed a long crack in the painter’s fleece under my desk. When removing the baseboard, a crack in the plaster was also visible. Some areas behind the crack sound hollow when tapped. How would you assess this damage?
Should I hire an expert to evaluate the issue, or would it be better to contact the plasterer who did the work directly?
