Hello,
we are almost finished with all the planning. Only the lighting for the open living and dining area is still causing some uncertainty.
We are not sure if the number of fixtures is sufficient. You can see our current plan in the attachment. All the lights will be dimmable.
Do you think this is enough, or should we include additional spotlights?

The dimensions of the room are 4.7m x 9.2m (15.4 ft x 30.2 ft).
How would you possibly design the lighting differently (for example, adding spotlights as general lighting)?
At the top right of the picture, the open kitchen connects, which is planned with spotlights.

Yes, we also struggled with the floor plan for a long time and ultimately planned from the inside out.
In fact, the open-plan living area is brilliantly arranged in practice. The kitchen is close to the terrace, and the walkways are spacious...
Regarding the decor:
That’s the compromise with my wife—she gets to have free rein there, since I prevailed on many other aspects

The floor plan is not entirely final, but the changes are minor. For example, the fireplace is positioned more toward the dining room

Here is a suggestion off the cuff:
Molto Luce Gator SDI as wall lights – glare-free yet illuminating the room
Moooi Perch Light Branch above the dining table – delightfully cozy
2 pieces of Tobias Grau Salt & Pepper as portable accent or reading lights with a standard spot near the TV – with dim-to-warm feature, a true source of cozy lighting!
Artemide Ilio as a floor lamp next to the coffee table – playful and clear at the same time, yet powerful
No light fixture above the coffee table

This is exactly how our living space is arranged as well, a great layout. Personally, however, I don’t like this type of lighting (like the lighting under the cabinet), it always looks like a teenager’s room.
The number of light sources the original poster has would be completely sufficient for me.

@ivenh0 Could you also tell me the name of your pendant lamp above the coffee table? I'm still a bit unsure about what to choose for our home.NordLux Aver in 30, 40, and 50cm (12, 16, and 20 inches)Thank you, ivenh0!
I had almost suspected that. I had saved them myself but always worried they might be too large above the coffee table. However, they really only look good arranged in groups of three.
But seeing how they look with you, I’ll take the risk and order them.
