Gooosee1593 Jan 2023 15:06Hello,
we are looking for a large sectional sofa.
We have specific requirements for the sectional, which makes the selection quite challenging.
We want a large U-shaped sectional with the following criteria:
Width: 345-355 cm (136-140 inches)
Comfortable
Good value for money
Durable
Fabric (microfiber is probably best)
We also have a dog that is allowed on the sofa.
The sectional must definitely be comfortable, as it will be used for most of the day, and it should be durable, not sagging or worn out in some areas after 1-2 years.
How can you recognize good quality?
What should the internal structure of the sectional look like?
Wave springs
Pocket spring core
Foam (which type of foam?)
Unfortunately, I don’t have much knowledge about what materials are commonly used nowadays that provide good quality and durability.
Please don’t get me wrong—I’m not looking for the absolute best, just a good mid-range sectional with a solid price-performance ratio.
We have already visited all the furniture stores but couldn’t find a suitable one (it’s also hard to find with these dimensions).
What do you think about sectional sofas bought online or even from Poland?
Can you recommend any shops for this?
Thank you very much.

henning1813 Jan 2023 22:39Hello, we purchased our living room furniture from Steinpol, which is made in Poland. The series is called Poco, and the quality is really very good. We also chose the highest quality features. Regards

Gooosee1594 Jan 2023 06:23Ok thanks
Did you order them in Poland as well?
Or did you buy them here at the furniture store?
Hardeck was immediately suggested to me along with Steinpol and POCO.
I also have another question: How should the interior framework of a solid sectional sofa be constructed?
Do most of them nowadays only have wave springs and foam?

henning1814 Jan 2023 10:46Hello,
I purchased the sectional sofa in Germany through a furniture store with an online shop. It is located in Zahna-Elster and offers excellent telephone support. At the time, I paid 3451 euros and chose cold foam for the seating material.

How should the internal structure of a sturdy sectional sofa be designed?
Which materials should be used inside and what should be considered?
Which materials should be avoided (for example, because they are only very short-lived)?
I found an interesting sectional sofa.
Construction: wood + furniture board
Seat: T30 foam + wave springs
Upholstery: Monolith
Can you tell me how good this T30 foam is?

Can you tell how good this T30 foam is? No, this is a home building forum.
Don’t judge by datasheets and sales talk, but test the geometry and firmness yourself by sitting on it. If there is a 5 or 10-year warranty, that’s even better.

If there are small children, it has to be good for jumping around 😉
