Hello dear community,
I am planning a new single-family house build and need to decide on the flooring.
What do you think about covering the entire house with linoleum from the company DLW? This was recommended by the architect. It has no seams, is made of natural material, antibacterial, and has a modern design. Please see the brochure attached, for example arabesque Monarca or Antico on page 20.
I like these features, but in the end it needs to look good and appear modern and high-quality.
Does anyone have experience with this?

You have to like the smell. We have real linoleum in the hallways at work, and when newly installed, it has a very strong scent. The maintenance effort also seems to be higher than for more modern flooring. It is actually polished regularly with a machine.According to DLW, the smell fades after two weeks and it should be easy to maintain thanks to neocare. Of course, commercial environments have different conditions and wear.M

Though that's a completely different case, since people walk on it all day with outdoor shoes.
By the way, linoleum also has disadvantages compared to laminate (and hardwood flooring), believe it or not. The material is relatively soft, quickly develops permanent pressure marks, and anything sharp that falls on it will leave an impression.
I think linoleum might not be a good choice if you have dogs, especially with sharp claws. A hard-surfaced floor such as laminate would be better in that case.
