ᐅ Lighting Design for Upper Floor Hallway: Light Ceiling / Stretch Ceiling / LED Panel

We are currently planning the lighting. The hallway on the upper floor unfortunately has no natural daylight. Therefore, we are considering the best way to create comfortable lighting there.

The idea was to install a light ceiling above the staircase. Has anyone here had experience with this, especially if the light ceiling does not cover the entire ceiling?

I read that @hampshire installed such a ceiling in the guest bathroom. Unfortunately, that person cannot be contacted for advice at the moment 🙁

Alternatively, I have been thinking about mounting 2-3 LED panels side by side. What do you think about that?

Otherwise, look for panels with 16 million colors.
There might already be controllers that capture the outside light and simulate it 1:1 on the panel, basically
an electronic windowpane.
