ᐅ Light-colored base of the facade under the windowsill – is this normal?

Hello everyone,

can someone explain to me why the gray base of the facade below the windowsill is light in color, while the areas outside appear the normal gray as painted?

Maybe not painted at all?

If I were there in person and it was allowed, I would go ahead and touch it.

It looks like dirt that would normally be washed away by rain.

That’s the impression I get when looking at the windowsill. It is covered with a layer of paint in the same shade that is staining the wall (you can see this on the side compared to the top).

Thank you for the hint; often what seems obvious is actually quite distant. I am truly embarrassed. I think you are right.
