ᐅ Lifting the washing machine out

Hello,

In our rental apartment, we have a washing machine (shown in the picture behind the red line) placed directly next to the bathtub. The problem is that a towel rail (gray line) is positioned just in front of the washing machine. When we moved in, we had to lift the washing machine into the corner—it was very heavy. Now, we plan to move into our house in mid-January and want to take the washing machine with us.

What is the best way to get the washing machine out of the corner?

Remove towel rail?

I'm not very skilled with DIY and I'm a bit worried about damaging something. Is this straightforward? Is there anything I should watch out for?

Do you mean a towel rail or a heated towel rail?

With a towel rail, there are usually screws somewhere (possibly hidden under covers).

Then you should probably move the washing machine out of the corner again. Maybe do it step by step, sliding something underneath each time (wooden blocks or similar).
