ᐅ Liebherr ICBN 3366 – No Frost function has stopped working. Has anyone experienced this issue?

Hello,
we have a refrigerator-freezer combination from Liebherr (ICBN 3366-20) with a No Frost system. About a year ago, the freezer door was accidentally left slightly open (one compartment was stuck...), and since then the No Frost function has stopped working. If you defrost manually, a thin layer of ice appears on the baskets again within one day, and over time, icicles and similar ice build-ups form.
The unit is almost 3 years old now, the ice maker still works as before. Everything else functions normally, but the No Frost system seems either broken or disabled. Does anyone have any advice?

Amazing prices like theseAbsolutely. The same applies to Miele. Customer service is rather so-so, but the bills are hefty. And since they claim premium quality, there’s only a 2-year warranty. What a rip-off.
I have NoFrost in my refrigerator. The water runs down the back wall, through a small channel into a hole. Below that is the evaporator, where the dripping water evaporates.
If the channel or the hole is blocked, the system won’t work anymore.
In my opinion, you can’t really “deactivate” it.
Is the door maybe leaking? NoFrost is not a cure-all. If the door is often open, or the seal is faulty, warm air gets in, moisture freezes... even NoFrost can’t handle that.
Repairs are done by dealers of such appliances. Possibly places like EP (Electronic Partner) or Euronics.
We defrosted the device for a good two days during a short vacation, and so far we have not noticed any new ice buildup. The principle of the freezer compartment is a bit different from that of the refrigerator, as there is no water running down anywhere at -18°C (0°F) 🙂
It might have just been the evaporator freezing up.
I’m also very skeptical about that. They charge ridiculous prices and don’t even have enough confidence in their products to offer longer warranties. Since you can’t look inside the devices, manufacturers can always use cheaper parts. Whereas premium capacitors and other components used to be soldered on, nowadays they use cheap parts from the depths of China. Saving 1 cent per 2,000€ machine and guaranteeing a lifespan of about 2.5 years instead of 20 years like before (barely beyond the warranty). Then a 5-cent part has to be replaced, which of course is located on a 500€ circuit board, and you need an electrician who charges another 200€ for the repair.
And then these companies wonder why everyone just buys cheap stuff. A 400€ washing machine is no big deal to me if something breaks. I just go to a retailer like MM and order a new one for 400€. Two days later the new one arrives and the old one goes straight out. The new machine is also brand new and clean, up to date, etc. The 2,000€ machine is never five times better or lasts five times as long...
