A cheerful hello to everyone,
Does anyone happen to know how large a sample piece needs to be if you want to have a color shade mixed? We would like to repaint a section of the facade, matching the existing facade color as closely as possible. Before we chip away an unnecessarily large piece of plaster, I wanted to ask if anyone has experience with this.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any information about this online.

Well, carefully knocking out a sample piece and repairing it afterwards, compared to paying a professional their fee, getting a guarantee, and so on, is definitely worth considering, especially since, as you yourself say, it’s not about large areas at this stage.

He doesn’t necessarily want to do the painting as well. There are plenty of people who are happy to just sell you the paint and that’s it. Even a small retailer brings in more than just labor. Try it out. Contact a master painter for advice. A DIY store will be less helpful.

For now, it’s just an area of about 30 square meters (approximately 320 square feet), nothing dramatic.
The call to the painting company resulted in: no mixing or selling paint without an order. So, off to the paint supplier we go. It will be fine.

That’s a lousy painting contractor....people from Franconia can be a bit odd at times
Then tell the Franconian that he would have to buy from a Bavarian – that should usually be enough to make him reconsider.
