Hello,

I am looking for affordable recessed LED downlights to be installed outdoors under the roof overhang. Based on my research so far, the fixtures should ideally have a protection rating of at least IP44. External motion sensors are planned for control, so the lights can either be switched on continuously from inside or turn on automatically at dusk for an adjustable period when motion is detected. The fixtures should be made of materials like aluminum, stainless steel, brushed iron, or similar. Installation depth is not critical, and I would prefer a GU10 base; in any case, the LEDs should be replaceable. Adjustable or swivel fixtures would also be an advantage.

Do you have any recommendations, including specific models (possibly via private message due to linking)?

Hello,

the thread is quite old, but yesterday we bought GU10 spotlights from Paulmann and LED lights from Philips at Hornbach.

For me, the issue has already been resolved. I also used some from P. and converted them from halogen to LED. They are not adjustable, but that wasn’t necessary. My LED spotlights have about a 120-degree beam angle at just under 5W (380 lm), and 4 of them per side of the house were sufficient for me.
