I originally thought it would be quite simple to find an LED recessed spotlight with about 10 watts, a wide beam angle, dimmable via DALI, and possibly a replaceable light source. I also thought it would be cost-effective if I could control a group of three fixtures with a single electronic ballast/driver.

However, reality—or maybe my limited search—has shown me that I’m on the wrong track.

Perhaps someone here has a similar wish list and can offer some advice.

Thank you!

Hello,
Unfortunately, I can't help you with your specific problem.
But based on my experience with finding downlights so far: buy the recessed spotlight without a bulb, and get a bulb that meets your requirements separately. Just make sure that both have the same socket type (usually GU10).

Hello Jochen,

thank you for your reply.
GU10 with 10W will already be difficult. That was also my first thought.

Ok, in our case, it was "only" about 5 watts. There was also plenty of selection available.

Have a look at Trilux. We found what we needed there. It’s not exactly cheap, but when it comes to DALI and various beam angles, they offer everything.

For a tighter budget, the Paulmann recessed housings might be worth considering, along with a compatible light source.

Take a look at Voltus. They offer a wide selection and excellent support.
