Hello everyone,
I am looking for a lawn mower for my garden. The garden has the following details:
- Flat terrain
- 400 m² (4,300 sq ft) area
I have shortlisted the following lawn mowers:
- Husqvarna LC 247 (no self-propulsion)
- Husqvarna LC 247S (self-propelled)
- Husqvarna LC 247SP (self-propelled, higher power)
1. Which of these three models would you recommend?
2. Do I even need a self-propelled mower for this size of garden?
3. How do the maneuverability and turning capability compare between mowers with and without self-propulsion? Are there any differences?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Jörg

Quick note: My neighbor has an Einhell model, exact type unknown. When the grass is a bit longer and thicker, one battery charge isn’t enough to mow the entire lawn. And their property is only 550 square meters (about 5,920 square feet). So I’m somewhat skeptical about Einhell and similar brands.
Disclaimer: If I were to buy a new cordless lawn mower, it would be a Makita model that uses 5Ah batteries. But only because my other cordless tools are also Makita, and I’m fully convinced of their batteries.

My initial impression (admittedly I’ve only used it once) is very positive. If this impression holds up over time, I plan to fully switch to the Einhell battery system.
