Hello everyone,

I am looking for a lawn mower for my garden. The garden has the following details:

- Flat terrain
- 400 m² (4,300 sq ft) area

I have shortlisted the following lawn mowers:

- Husqvarna LC 247 (no self-propulsion)
- Husqvarna LC 247S (self-propelled)
- Husqvarna LC 247SP (self-propelled, higher power)

1. Which of these three models would you recommend?
2. Do I even need a self-propelled mower for this size of garden?
3. How do the maneuverability and turning capability compare between mowers with and without self-propulsion? Are there any differences?

Can you recommend one up to 200€? 300 square meters (approximately 3,230 square feet) of lawn, preferably gas-powered. I’m open to options, it just needs to reliably do its job without complaints.

Up to 200? That’s too cheap.
Look at the AlKo Bio, without wheel drive. It’s 299.00 on Amazon.
It has a reliable Briggs and Stratton engine. It starts well and has been running at our place for 8 years.

Gasoline-powered equipment is a thing of the past for plots smaller than 800 m2 (8600 sq ft). Once you’ve used battery-operated tools, you won’t want anything else. Or just a robot mower.

Bookstar forgot something. He forgot to mention that this is not an absolute truth declared with authority, but merely his opinion, which the friend of the petrol lawn mower naturally does not share.

@Bookstar I've never owned a petrol (gas) lawn mower, so maybe that's why I'm being too critical, but which battery-powered mower do you have?

If it doesn’t have to be a petrol mower, take a look at this one:

I bought it this week for 199€ (about $215) at OBI and am very satisfied with it.
