ᐅ Larger pipe diameter for increased flow capacity

Another topic I’ve been thinking about:

Does it make sense to install larger water pipes for the shower to achieve higher flow rates?

In my current shower, I have the problem that with a modern wide showerhead, there is too little water pressure and flow, which I attribute to pipes that are too narrow. I want to avoid making this mistake in the new build!

This is certainly not necessary with regular handheld showers. However, when planning ceiling showers with very high water consumption, the installer should be informed.
