Hello,

The windows were installed today.
I went to check them this evening in the dark.
Unfortunately, one window seems to have been damaged during installation or transport.
There is a deep scratch on the protective film.
How can this be dealt with now?
It’s quite frustrating.

How is it supposed to work with just the scratch?

Hmm, I have recently been in contact with the manufacturer of the membrane. They work with specially trained partner companies that can carry out repairs, but only by reapplying the membrane along the entire profile side.

Winnetou, a boat with a vinyl wrap, is currently at the shipyard. On its side, there are scratches from a careless maneuver. The team from bootox, as the wrap installers are called, came and cut out the damaged section where the scratch was, thoroughly cleaned the surface with soapy water, used a heat gun, applied some vinyl, smoothed it with a squeegee, and in the end, you can’t even see the spot from two meters (6.5 feet) away. Truly. I saw it myself. Karsten

Alright, but I don’t think I would even notice a scratch from 2 m (6.5 ft) away, even with a touch-up paint pen [emoji38]

...and you don't need to be any closer. Because a window is there to look out of, not to be looked at.
