ᐅ Large gaps between Lithonplus L-Tec L-bricks – normal or construction defect?

KelevraHello everyone,
I wanted to ask if any of you have experience with the L-Tec L-bricks from Lithonplus.
About 40–50 pieces were installed in my driveway, including some two-part corner bricks. I noticed that:
- The corner bricks have quite large (> 1cm (0.4 inches)) gaps.
My landscaping contractor thinks this is due to the slightly tapered edges, which he says are “unavoidable,” even though Lithonplus advertises high (precise) dimensional accuracy.
- The gap widths on the other bricks also vary – sometimes flush at the top, but then with a visible gap at the bottom.
The contractor showed me that the top line is level according to the spirit level, so supposedly everything is installed correctly. Yet the overall appearance looks uneven.
So my questions are:
Is this normal (tolerance) for these bricks?
Or could it be a matter of workmanship?
Has anyone made similar observations?
I would appreciate any feedback – maybe it will help others planning to use the same bricks.
Best regards,
Kelevra
