Hello everyone,
I would like to get your opinion.
I have 70 sqm (753 sq ft) to cover in four rooms and a hallway. I have already purchased laminate flooring and baseboards.
I have now received a quote of 2000 EUR for the following work, including materials:
1. Sanding the floor because there are still adhesive residues (carpet/tiles) on it.
2. Leveling the floor with self-leveling compound.
3. Installing an underlay.
4. Installing the laminate flooring.
5. Attaching the baseboards.
Is this price excessive, reasonable, or normal?
Thanks in advance.

Expensive.

If you buy laminate in a laminate house, installation often only costs 10 euros per m² (10.8 sq ft).
You have more work to do, but not such a big price difference.

In your case, there is more work to do, but the price difference shouldn't be that big.

But only on a finished substrate.
Removing adhesive residue is a real pain. Smoothing it out evenly certainly takes more than half an hour.

We received an offer of 15 EUR per sqm on prepared ground. Although this was for prefabricated parquet, it probably doesn't make a difference.
Baseboard 4 EUR per meter.

28.50 per sqm (square meter). Does this include the leveling compound, the machine, and the insulation mat? It is still a very reasonable price for the contractor. What is the market situation? Do you have any alternatives? K.

Solid surcharge for external materials. Get additional quotes, but it probably won’t be significantly cheaper...
