Hello everyone. 🙂

To keep it brief, I have always had PVC flooring in my apartments, which I liked because it’s easy to clean, scratch-resistant, and low maintenance. Everyone who visited said it looked good, but it wasn’t really like real wood... 🙂

Then we had two rental apartments with laminate flooring. What can I say? When we moved in, there were already scratches even though only a desk with wheels and an office chair had been moved around. You couldn’t mop it either because the laminate started creaking. I spent weeks trying to polish it with spray and newspaper, with little success...

We are moving again now, and a friend suggested we should choose laminate, saying you can mop it (which I don’t believe) and move furniture around without problems (which I also doubt).

Is there good laminate nowadays, for example compared to 2011?

Best regards,

Have you ever considered vinyl? It looks good and is durable. It is also easy to install.

Of course, there is good laminate! It’s simply a matter of quality and therefore price as well 😉 – it shouldn’t be the kind of DIY store product costing €1.99 per square meter (approximately $0.60 per square foot).
