Hello everyone. 🙂
To keep it short, I’ve always had PVC flooring in my apartments, which I liked because it’s easy to mop, scratch-resistant, and low maintenance. Everyone who visited said it looked great, although it didn’t really look like real wood... 🙂
After that, we had two rental apartments with laminate flooring. What can I say? When we moved in, there were already scratches even though only a table with wheels and an office chair had been moved around. You couldn’t mop it either because the laminate started to creak. I spent weeks trying to polish it with spray and newspaper, but with little success….
We are moving again now, and a friend suggested why we don’t choose laminate. He said you can mop it (which I don’t believe) and even move a table without problems (which I also doubt).
Is there good laminate available today, for example compared to 2011?
Regards,
Elmoo
I rewrote it a bit because of Holland and such. 🙂

Have you considered vinyl? It looks good and is very durable. It’s also easy to install. Not bad, how are the prices?

Of course, there is good laminate! It’s all a matter of quality and therefore price 😉 – it shouldn’t be the kind of hardware store product at 1.99 € per square meter (about $2.10 per square foot).Okay, but is it water-resistant and scratch-proof? How much does it cost?
Not more expensive than mid-range laminate. We pay €25 per square meter plus impact sound insulation and matching baseboards, totaling €30.00 per square meter. It is also scratch-resistant.
I have to admit, I am a fan of PVC. In my opinion, PVC is much easier to maintain and stays looking "nice" for longer. In contrast, laminate shows every little scratch. Also, PVC is easier to clean, and you don’t have to be as careful with water when cleaning it compared to laminate.
