Hello,
I can’t decide which color the kitchen sofa should be. So, I’m just asking the group: which color would appeal to you for a kitchen sofa?
The kitchen has a lot of wood: oak flooring, a light oak table, and an oak countertop on a matte black kitchen. The kitchen takes up a lot of space. The entire room will get a lot of light (east-facing window 4.5m (15 feet) wide in a room 5.5m (18 feet) wide).
The rest of the kitchen has no color. Walls are white, I have no accessories, and no colored towels either. The kitchen backsplash will be tiled in black.
I was about to order “yellow,” but hesitated at the last moment. Now I’m curious to hear what you think.

Bertram1005 Jan 2021 20:31ooh, the Girado is really nice! Will you be able to fit a round table in your space? For me, it would have only just fit, with a bit of squeezing and pushing. I would have liked that, but then the island would have had to go. So I’m sticking with the traditional rectangle (160cm x 90cm (63 inches x 35 inches), extendable, the model is called Ethnicraft Bok. Bought second-hand).
You see, if you keep leaning towards yellow, which would actually match the rest well based on the color description, then go with it. Sleep on it for two more nights, and then get started. I’m attached to green 😎.
What really paid off for me back then was an expensive fabric with a high abrasion resistance of 100,000 double rubs. The fabric still looks like new despite daily use.
I preferred a more "traditional" style and, based on a recommendation from a user in East Frisia, I even traveled there myself to the Frühling furniture store. They have an amazing selection of kitchen sofas / East Frisian sofas. They deliver across Germany.

Bertram1005 Jan 2021 20:34Green ranks second, just slightly behind yellow. 😀 I’m just wondering if yellow might look a bit dull next to the oak table. Green would stand out more with oak and also goes well with black. Mmmmh....
I am considering the following piece:

I have 410 cm (161 inches) of space.
- 75 cm (30 inches) sofa
- 130 cm (51 inches) table
- 50 cm (20 inches) low cabinet with TV
leaving about 150 cm (59 inches) between the edge of the table and the cabinet. When in use, chairs are placed there; when not in use, the chairs are more likely to be around the narrower part of the table.
Everything in natural oak to match my other furniture reasonably well.
I probably need some more time to think about it, after all, I’ve only been working on the table project for about 5 years 😀

I’m afraid I can’t judge the green color very well from the small picture. Could you post the sofa’s name? Have you been able to try sitting on it? I did that myself back then, including sitting sideways. At the furniture store, they had “my” sofa in a terrible color, but I immediately fell in love with the shape, especially the high backrest and all.
Is the rest of the room already furnished? If so, could you share a photo? It’s always easier to assess the colors that way.

Bertram1005 Jan 2021 20:50Isn't 130cm (51 inches) in diameter (in its round form) a bit large for sitting close together? Even though you are nearly side by side at a round table.
