Hello everyone,
I would quickly need your assessment on whether the price is reasonable.
The kitchen, including stove, microwave, oven, dishwasher, and sink, is supposed to cost €11,850.
What is not included are the refrigerator, backsplash, and faucet.
Lowest online prices for the appliances compared to the kitchen studio:
- Stove €1,800. Studio price €2,050 including installation = okay
- Dishwasher €560. Studio price €565 including installation = okay
- Oven + microwave €1,120. Studio price €1,200 including installation
- Sink studio price estimated €500-600, since it is a ceramic sink
Total cost for appliances = €4,320-4,420 without refrigerator, backsplash, and faucet.
So my problem is not the electrical appliances.
Therefore, the pure kitchen furniture is supposed to cost about €7,600.
- Brand: Bauformat
- High-gloss lacquered fronts
- Worktop laminate with thick edging
- The island is 2.50 m x 1 m (8.2 ft x 3.3 ft)
- The kitchen run is 3.20 m (10.5 ft)
- High cabinet 1 m x 46 cm (3.3 ft x 18 in)
Attached are the pictures. Are the €7,600 for the kitchen furniture justified?
It’s a small kitchen studio with very good advice.

But I see so many YouTubers revealing their prices and getting so much more kitchen for the money.

What surprises me: do you have a drawer under the stove? We only have a panelAsking again...

Just asking again... I haven’t forgotten about you.
There are actually drawers underneath. The top one is 46cm (18 inches) high. So, as suggested earlier, use this drawer for wooden spoons, ladles, tongs, and spatulas.

We had our kitchen from Schüller, with the same layout, planned at two different kitchen studios.
After this price manipulation typical of package pricing (the individual price was well over €20,000 (about $21,900)), the offer from Studio 1 was €10,200 (about $11,200) plus a cookware set valued at €1,100 (about $1,210) MSRP, while Studio 2 offered €8,800 (about $9,700).
We mentioned the word “comparison” to both studios. Studio 2 lowered their price by themselves after a week to €8,500 (about $9,400) and also added an exhaust wall box from Naber worth around €170 (about $185).
At Studio 1, we said we didn’t want the cookware set and asked for a discount. We also switched two appliances from the brand Juno to AEG/Neff. In the end, the manager came by and instead of €10,200 with the cookware set (which was advertised during the offer at a value of €1,100, but after the promotion could be bought in the store for €620 (about $680)), the final price was €8,900 (about $9,800).
Long story short: Make the studio work a bit and simply mention the word “comparison” and you’ll get a price reduction.
PS: I’m not very good at negotiating, and still, it was worth it for the kitchen.
A friend went with his father-in-law and they negotiated from €14,000 (about $15,300) down to €10,300 (about $11,300) plus a €300 (about $330) shopping voucher without changing anything in the planned kitchen.
The industry must have a pretty high profit margin.

You’re right about that... In Munich, we also had a drawer at the very top, but in the new kitchen, there’s only a panel there. I don’t actually remember the reason the kitchen specialist gave for why we now have a panel instead of a drawer... I’ll have to ask my husband about it this evening. Both kitchens use induction cooktops.

@ypg Is that unusual?
In our case, the cutlery is stored directly underneath as well. But with an induction cooktop, maybe consider not building it so deep?Yes, it’s induction. Maybe a model with a deeper profile? Unfortunately, we don’t have one like that... I didn’t consider the 1 1 2 2 setup back then either... it would have been better. But I don’t find it annoying now, I’ve been enjoying this kitchen for 4.5 years already.
