Hello everyone,

Following advice from our architect, we have started considering our kitchen layout, since we still have the option to move walls, windows, or doors if it helps optimize the kitchen.

Attached is a first draft of the kitchen plan, which I have roughly sketched. You will also find pictures showing the approximate style and cabinet fronts we are aiming for. According to the seller, the price will be around €13,500. Some additional information is included in the image. If you need any more details, please feel free to ask.

What do you think about the Nolte Manhattan kitchen in general? How do you find the overall layout? Does the offer seem reasonable to you? Do you have any suggestions for improvements?

Thank you very much and best regards

Just write everything down clearly. What cabinet height are we talking about, how many drawers are in each cabinet, how tall are the drawers, where are the hinged doors, and what is behind them? With an island, you don’t necessarily have to go for a 120cm (47 inches) depth. You can reduce that by 15–20cm (6–8 inches) and have drawers on one side and hinged doors on the other. With a cabinet depth of 35/40cm (14/16 inches), that’s not a big issue. Under the sink, if waste bins are planned there, I would still want a drawer. Looking forward to the next offer.

Oh yes, exactly, that's still missing for me. My prices for the Nobilia kitchen are two to three years old. Nolte today would have to be at least 20% more expensive.
So yes, I also believe that your offer either does not include electrical appliances and/or does not include Nolte furniture, and/or there is no interior in the cabinets (drawers, shelves). The countertop is probably missing as well.

Definitely. We bought Nobilia twice, once in 2020 and once ordered at the end of 2022. There were quite large differences in costs. So Nobilia has become a few percent more expensive during that period.

I have a 5 m (16.4 ft) Ikea kitchen with their second most expensive fronts and paid 5,000 euros for the wood with about 30 drawers. Installed, including assembly, appliances, and a solid wood countertop, the total was 9,000 euros.
That was three years ago. Now it would probably cost around 12,000 euros. Still more affordable than the Nolte kitchen with hinged doors.
Whether the kitchen is worth it will become clear in 20 years.

Ok, thanks for sharing your experience. In the end, we’ll have to decide how much we want to spend to upgrade from Swedish to Nolte.

Siemens oven, 90cm (35 inch) extractor hood, 90cm (35 inch) cooktop, dishwasher, and refrigerator... just for these, you easily pay 3,000 EUR if you buy the items yourself.
Through the kitchen studio, at least 4,000, rather 5,000 EUR.

Hello everyone!
Thank you very much for your helpful comments. We have now purchased a kitchen for €13,900. We obtained another quote that was more expensive. Afterwards, we went back to the first one, made a few minor modifications, and bought the kitchen. We really like it a lot, even though it is a bit more traditional than a showpiece kitchen or the very modern designs.

Best regards
