Hello everyone,

maybe one of you can help me. My energy consultant needs a document from my window manufacturer about the Uw value of the windows (standard windows), which should be about 1.20m x 1.48m (4 feet x 4 feet 10 inches), as far as I understand.

What does such a document look like, or does anyone have one available so I can use it as a template for my window manufacturer? He is not exactly sure what it should look like and said he has never had to provide such a document before. I am building a KfW 40 house and need to have this document.

It should probably state that the windows were installed according to RAL standards and include the Uw value of the windows.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this, as I have not been able to find a suitable document online.

Thank you!

The energy consultant must provide that to you! They get paid for it!

Not the energy consultant, but the window manufacturer!

How can you think that any random product datasheet can be used for profile + glass + size???

The energy consultant requests something. Therefore, they should also provide the original poster with a template showing how it should look!

End of discussion!

That is their homework.

The energy consultant specifies the U-value of the window construction.

However, this seems to be about verifying the installation.
Am I right @Verfolger79?

This verification can only be provided by the window manufacturer, by submitting/providing the product information sheets of the installed components (including the U-value, if applicable).

Window manufacturers nowadays rarely have their own profile systems. When they mainly act as dealers and installers, the complete system comes from the manufacturer. If they still assemble sash frames (or even profiles) and glass themselves, then these components come from two different sources. The total value must be calculated on a case-by-case basis, since each window has a different proportion of frame.
