Hello!

I am new to photovoltaic systems and have tried to summarize all the criteria for photovoltaics in order to qualify for both mentioned subsidies.

According to the T3 fact sheet of the 10,000-houses program, the photovoltaic system must have at least 5 kWp, and according to the KfW requirements, the storage must have a capacity equal to the peak power for one hour, which means 5 kWh.

That obviously makes the whole thing quite expensive.
If I commit to at least 70% self-consumption, how can I practically limit this so that this threshold is not exceeded?

Good luck,

And my next question is which subsidies can be combined and how.
KfW 153 and the photovoltaic technology bonus from the 10,000 Houses Program are possible, right?
What about the KfW programs 274 and 275? Are these generally not allowed to be claimed together with the technology bonus, or can they be combined up to a maximum of 100% of the investment costs for the photovoltaic system with storage?

Would the following be conceivable, for example:
15% repayment grant KfW 153
25% repayment grant KfW 275 for the storage system
€8,000 (approximately $8,800) photovoltaic subsidy from the 10,000 Houses Program
€4,500 (approximately $4,950) subsidy for "Energy-Efficient New Construction" from the 10,000 Houses Program
and possibly additional subsidies from BAFA?

I can let you know in about 1 week. I am facing the same issue. It is currently being addressed by KfW and the Bavarian government.

Apparently, KfW 40plus is not compatible with KfW 275.

I find that interesting. During a phone call with the KfW, they were also unable to answer my question. You would actually expect them to know.

I’m looking forward to your response!

Since I didn’t receive an answer from KfW after a 45-minute phone call, my bank will (hopefully) handle it.

It’s even more complicated for me :-/
Last year, I applied for KfW275 and now wanted to apply for KfW55. Since it turned out to be KfW40 with only minimal changes, KfW40Plus would logically be the goal.

Let’s see what happens.

Hello xxxxx,

Is the Technikbonus program T3.2 or T3.3 fully combinable without reductions with a KfW Efficiency House 40 Plus or KfW application 275 (both also provide funding for a battery) or are there deductions? For example, if the battery storage costs 10,000€ net and KfW grants 3,250€ (KfW 275), would T3.2 still pay 6,000€?
Or is a KfW Efficiency House 40 (no funding for photovoltaics + battery) the better choice compared to T3.2?
Thank you very much,
xxxxx

Dear Mr. XXXX,

From our side, we only have the following restrictions:

Excerpt from the guidelines for implementing the Bavarian 10,000 Houses Program dated 29.07.2015 as amended on January 22, 2016, p. 10, point 13.2:
The stated funding amounts (see Table 1) are maximum values. If funding is provided through the “Market Incentive Program (MAP)” of BAFA, the support within the “TechnikBonus” may not exceed the amount granted under the MAP guidelines. The “Energy Efficiency Bonus” for achieving a heating demand level (see Table 2) is granted per residential unit and can amount to up to 9,000 euros. The stated funding amounts (see Table 1) are maximum values. However, the “Energy Efficiency Bonus” may not exceed 10% of eligible costs (only for renovation of existing buildings) of the KfW funding.

However, as we are aware of individual cases where KfW included a funding limit (related to the KfW grant) in the approval when combining the TechnikBonus with the KfW program 275, we strongly recommend that you also inquire directly with KfW about how combining these programs will affect the total grant amounts.

Therefore, we are unable to answer your questions conclusively.

Best regards,
XXXXX
