We are planning to equip our new IKEA kitchen with a Karlby walnut worktop. Could you please share your experiences regarding durability and quality?
So far, we have a Resopal worktop, which is very low-maintenance and durable. Now I’m concerned that the wooden worktop might show wear quickly. What do you think?

IKEA-Experte31 Jan 2016 21:54Hello, when I think about the stubborn stain that raspberry juice left recently on my oiled wooden cutting board, I definitely don’t want a countertop with a wood veneer. The surface is definitely more sensitive to moisture compared to an HPL (high-pressure laminate) coated one.
