Hello everyone, I recently assembled a KALLAX shelf from IKEA, but unfortunately it wobbles quite a bit even though I tightened all the screws firmly. It is placed on a level floor and is not overloaded. My question is: What can I do to improve the stability of my KALLAX shelf? Are there any known weak points or specific tips for reinforcement? Many thanks in advance for your advice!

I also stabilized my KALLAX using so-called T-brackets. They provide good support. Additionally, you can place small furniture gliders under the feet to compensate for uneven floors.

I also noticed the wobbling, which can be quite annoying, especially if you’re sensitive to it. I protected the shelf from unevenness by placing felt pads under the feet and slightly stuffed them. Additionally, adding some hand weights near the bottom helps. This makes it feel more stable and gives me peace of mind.

Do not overlook the option of securing the shelf directly to the wall with screws. This is the most reliable method to prevent wobbling.

If your shelf still wobbles despite all precautions, carefully check the floor surface again using a spirit level. Small unevenness under the feet is often the main cause.
