ᐅ KALLAX doors no longer fit properly after renovation – should they be adjusted?

Hello everyone, after a renovation I noticed that the doors on my KALLAX shelving unit no longer fit properly. The hinges now seem a bit strained, and the doors are hard to close or hang crookedly. My question is: Is there a way to adjust the KALLAX doors so they close cleanly and flush again? I suspect that the renovation – maybe a new floor or changes in the room – caused the frame to warp slightly. Has anyone had experience with readjusting KALLAX doors? Which screws on the hinges exactly need to be adjusted, and are there any tips for realigning the doors correctly? Thanks in advance for your input!

What are you doing to ensure a long-lasting solution? In my experience, adjustable furniture glides or small felt pads under the legs help to compensate for uneven surfaces. I first made sure to firmly align the frame before adjusting, which makes the process much easier.
Thank you all for the valuable tips!
Today, I will take the doors off their hinges, check the hinges, and then adjust them step by step, paying particular attention to the height adjustment. At the same time, I will try to level the cabinet as much as possible using adjustable furniture feet.
If there are any special details regarding the original KALLAX hinge settings, I would appreciate more precise information. So far, I have just been pushing the doors inward, but obviously, that’s not the correct approach.
I will get back to you once I have completed the adjustments!

If there are any special details regarding the original KALLAX hinge settingsIf you have the original IKEA KALLAX hinges, be aware that the adjustment screw for the depth is often somewhat hidden and not immediately obvious. The screw you see at first glance is usually for lateral adjustment. It’s best to slightly loosen all the screws to allow movement and then observe how the door shifts.
Also, if you remove the door from the hinges, you can more easily work on the hinge and tighten the screws once everything fits properly.
Good luck!

adjustable furniture glides or small felt pads under the feetThat is a good and simple method. I would add: If the cabinet really wobbles heavily, it helps to work temporarily with small wooden wedges or similar until you find the correct height. This makes the adjustment much easier.
Update from me: I took the doors off their hinges, checked all the hinges, and completely loosened the two main screws. After that, I was able to adjust the doors better in height and sideways. The squeaking is gone, the doors now close more flush, but they still hang slightly.
Using the adjustable feet, I aligned the cabinet more stably, even though the laminate floor is slightly uneven on one side. Overall, it’s much better—thanks for the tips!
If it gets worse again, I’m considering adding a thin pad between the furniture leg and the floor to increase stability even more.
