Hello,

we have recently noticed something unusual at our door: it seems that water is running down the exterior wall next to the door.

At first, I thought it was rain or splash water, but this now happens even when it is not raining.

In the pictures, this is only partly visible because I took them a few minutes after noticing the water – however, it seems that water is continuously forming, gathering into drops, and then running down.

The water also appears to carry some paint from the facade.

What puzzles me is: how does water get there? There are no water supply or drainage pipes in that wall...?

It is an aluminum door in a newly built house completed in March 2023.

That is likely condensation.
The question is, where is the warm, moist air coming from that condenses there? Looking at the middle picture, I suspect there is a window above the HET. If I am correct, this could be due to a faulty connection between the window and the masonry (missing or incorrect sealing tape). This means the warm, humid indoor air condenses inside the wall between the window frame and the outside air. The water then runs down.
I think you should consult an expert. They could use a moisture meter to inspect the reveal and possibly identify where the leak is.
Thermal imaging can also help reveal thermal bridges.

The rain was hitting the side of the house where the front door is located fairly heavily, accompanied by wind.
No water entered at the bottom of the door,
Is this a new door now, or are we talking about a different house?

We are talking about a different house – a new build.
