A master plumber recommended 14x2 PEX-c tubing to me, saying that it is still "recommended by all major manufacturers."

Personally, I would always choose at least 16x2 and actually prefer aluminum composite pipe. What are your thoughts? Which type of tubing do you recommend for underfloor heating in new builds?

What is your opinion on the debate about the necessity of individual room controls in KFW-40 new constructions? Legally required, but technically questionable, in my view.

ERR: Trying to apply for an exemption would probably be the only legal option, especially when combined with KfW funding. A 16/17mm (5/8 inch) pipe is affordable and standard. Why discuss anything larger than 14mm (9/16 inch)?

I will skip the KfW funding and will probably install actuators (normally open) so that I could theoretically control them. Since I am planning a KNX smart home, this would also be practically possible, even though I will probably deactivate the actuators initially.
