Good morning everyone,

I am currently looking into which accessories work best with IKEA Brimnes furniture. Specifically, I am interested in which complementary products or modules can be combined functionally and visually with the Brimnes series to optimally expand storage and organization.

Since the series has a clean and modern design, it would also be helpful to know if there are accessories available that match well in material and color, or if more custom solutions are recommended.

Does anyone have experience with specific storage solutions, fittings, or even decorative items that integrate seamlessly with Brimnes furniture? Tips for medium to long-term use would be especially valuable, as I plan not only to style the living space temporarily but actually to improve its practical function.

Thanks in advance for your expert input!

I would recommend using the storage boxes from IKEA in the same color range. They match the Brimnes series very well and are stackable.

Additionally, IKEA’s shelves work well for dividing space inside the wardrobe.

You really don’t need much more for an organized look.

Hello everyone,

Regarding accessories that go well with IKEA Brimnes, I’d like to share some organized tips based on personal experience and common questions:

- Shelves and organizers: IKEA offers various shelves (e.g., from the HÖRDA or KOMPLEMENT series). These fit very well inside the Brimnes frame, allowing you to customize the storage space.

- Storage boxes and baskets: Practical are boxes made of plastic or fabric that fit into the compartments. Make sure their colors match the white or black surfaces.

- Handles and fittings: If you want to change the design, there are alternative handles that can be installed quite easily. Pay attention to the hole spacing.

- Lighting: LED strips with battery and motion sensors can also be usefully installed inside the wardrobes.

Common mistakes when assembling:

- Using boxes that are too large takes up space and makes the cabinet inflexible.
- Cheap adhesive tapes used to attach accessories often do not hold for long.

My tip: First, accurately plan your storage needs, then the accessories will fit perfectly.

If anyone has specific questions, I’m happy to help.

That’s really good advice, because there are so many storage solutions that don’t really match each other.

I’ve often experienced that accessories can create little pitfalls, especially when you improvise quickly.

It might also be interesting to hear from others whether they recommend accessories outside of IKEA or if it’s better to stay completely within the series. Opinions vary a lot, especially when long-term durability is important.

If you want, I can also share how I chose my combination and which challenges I managed to overcome.

For me personally, it helped to take my time and think everything through carefully, especially with heavier furniture like Brimnes.

I think that’s a really great idea! LED lighting not only adds convenience but also visually enhances the furniture quite a bit. 😄

I’ve experimented a bit with small lamps myself, and especially with Brimnes, which is quite simple, indirect lighting creates a cozy atmosphere.

Also, don’t underestimate how practical small hooks or hangers on the inside of doors are – perfect for keys or small items.

By the way: for those who enjoy DIY projects, using clip-on compartments or magnetic strips is a smart way to optimize storage without having to buy everything new.

Has anyone here ever modified or added accessories themselves to fit Brimnes? I’d love to hear those kinds of DIY stories!
