Hello everyone,

I am currently planning a new built-in wardrobe system and am considering the IKEA Platsa range. Since there are many different modules with variable dimensions and functions, I am interested in whether there is a reliable and comprehensive overview of the best-selling and most popular Platsa modules.

In particular, I would like to know which modules are frequently used in combinations, whether there are bestsellers in certain categories (e.g., cabinets with doors, open shelving, drawer modules), and if IKEA publishes any sales figures or summaries.

If anyone knows a good source or can share personal experiences with the most in-demand Platsa modules, I would greatly appreciate the information.

Thank you very much in advance!

I am not aware of any official overview from IKEA on this. The basic 60cm x 40cm (24 inches x 16 inches) module usually sells best because it is easy to combine. Modules with doors are also in high demand. However, there is no specific list available.

Regarding the topic: Is there an overview of the best-selling IKEA PLATSA modules?

After thorough research, it appears that IKEA generally does not publicly provide sales figures for individual furniture items, including PLATSA modules.

However, conclusions can be drawn from sales trends and user feedback:

- Standard carcasses measuring 60cm (24 inches) wide and 40cm (16 inches) deep are especially common, as they allow flexible design options.
- Modules with doors and drawers are popular because they conceal storage and help keep things organized.
- Open shelves are purchased less often as standalone modules and are more commonly used as additions.

Combining different modules, such as cabinet units at the bottom with open shelves on top, also seems to be a common approach.

Currently, there is no official, centralized bestseller list available. A good alternative is to analyze customer reviews and experiences on well-known IKEA or online sales platforms to identify trends and popular modules.

If anyone has access to detailed sales data, that would be a valuable contribution to this discussion.

That sums it up quite well. IKEA rarely releases such data publicly.

I would add that many users who buy PLATSA often choose individual modules like the classic 60x40x64 cm (24x16x25 inches), frequently with fronts such as doors or drawers, depending on storage needs.

Additionally, you can check the IKEA planner to see which modules are commonly recommended, which gives an indirect indication of popular options among buyers.

If you want a specific combination, it makes sense to ask at an IKEA store or look at existing inspiration examples that IKEA sometimes features in their online shop.

When choosing modules, personal requirements are key – there is no “one-size-fits-all” bestseller because the PLATSA system is deliberately designed to be modular and flexible.
