Hello everyone, I am currently working on assembling the Ikea Brimnes wardrobe and wondering if there is an instruction guide or perhaps a proven method to build this wardrobe significantly faster and more efficiently than just following the standard manual provided. I am especially interested if anyone here has experience that could simplify the assembly process, for example through a specific order of assembly, practical tool recommendations, or tips on how to avoid common pitfalls. I want to plan this as well as possible before starting, as saving time and avoiding frustration are important to me. Does anyone have a structured or self-developed guide for quickly assembling the Ikea BRIMNES?

I am adding a more detailed step-by-step guide that I trust technically:

- 1) Preparation: Carefully open all boxes, check for any damage, and verify the parts list. Roughly group the parts by function (side panels, doors, shelves, connecting fittings).
- 2) Test assembly of small fittings: Unpack screws, cam locks, and dowels, and label them (small containers can help).
- 3) Assembly of the main structure: Secure the cabinet sides to the base panel. Be sure to pay attention to the right and left sides, as they are not symmetrical.
- 4) Attach the back panel and stabilizing elements only loosely, so adjustments can be made later.
- 5) Hanging the doors requires precise alignment of the hinges, so be sure to use the height and depth adjustments on the hinges. This prevents problems when closing the doors.

Common pitfalls include incorrectly positioned dowels or applying too much force when assembling the cam locks. The parts are delicate, and overtightening can quickly damage the furniture.

So, I’ve assembled the Brimnes several times and here’s the deal: it goes surprisingly quickly if you stay relaxed and take it step by step. ✌️

Definitely have a strong coffee before starting (no joke), because rushing won’t help here. One tip: put all the screws and dowels on a small plate so they don’t get lost. And if at any point you think a part doesn’t fit, take a deep breath and carefully check the pictures in the instructions again. Most of the time, you’ll realize something is twisted or upside down. This way, you get through the build quickly without losing the fun.

To finish: A photo of a perfectly assembled Brimnes always looks great, especially if you want to show it to your family—it really makes it all worth it. 😊
