Is there a guide or a reliable method to adjust Ikea Metod drawers yourself? Specifically, I want to know how to set the drawers so that they run as straight as possible without sticking or wobbling. I have the impression that many drawers in the system slightly catch or don’t close completely flush after assembly. Are there simple steps for this, perhaps some kind of calibration that can be done by yourself? I would like to work through it systematically, but I don’t know if Ikea has special adjustment screws, hidden catches, or tricks that I might have missed.
I tried all the tips yesterday, and it definitely helped—the drawers now slide much more smoothly and close more cleanly. However, there is still a slight wobble on some fronts, even though they are perfectly aligned in height. Does anyone know this effect? Should you just tighten the front fastenings more, or are small tolerances in the system normal?

Still, I have a slight wobble on some fronts, even though they fit perfectly in height. This is unfortunately common with many Metod systems, as the fronts are mounted in a slightly flexible way to compensate for minor unevenness in the wall or cabinet carcasses. The important thing is that they don’t rattle or move excessively. A firm fit combined with gentle adjustment is ideal.
You can also check if the screws fastening the fronts are all tightened evenly and sufficiently, but be careful not to overtighten them to avoid damaging the plastic.

To summarize again: The optimal procedure would be as follows – first check the drawer slides and runners, then insert the drawer straight and listen for it to click into place, next adjust the height using the adjustment knobs under the drawer, and finally use the front mounting screws to correct vertical alignment and minor tilts, right? If the drawer sticks, it’s better to clean or remove and inspect the runners first.
Have I understood this correctly? In your opinion, is there anything essential missing in the adjustment process?
