Hello everyone,
I am currently planning to redesign my bedroom wardrobe and am considering getting an Ikea PAX wardrobe system. My specific question is: Is the Ikea PAX wardrobe well suited for the bedroom in terms of storage capacity, customization options, and durability?
I have heard that the system is very flexible, but how does it perform in a relatively small bedroom, for example? Additionally, I am interested in whether the assembly is more complicated compared to other furniture and how stable the wardrobe remains after long-term use.
I would appreciate it if you could share your experiences or any specific recommendations!

It is recommended to customize the wardrobe according to the types of clothing—for example, wider compartments for shirts, drawers for underwear. Stability and durability are more than sufficient for private use, as long as it is not overloaded. However, careful assembly is important to avoid issues later on.

For me, PAX stands out because of its adaptability and good value for money.I completely agree. Especially for living spaces where you want to stay flexible in the long term, that is a big advantage.
A tip regarding assembly: It’s worth measuring the room carefully before purchasing and trying out the components in the IKEA planner.

Can you specify your room size or the type of wardrobe you want? Then I can provide more specific advice.Thank you for the detailed response. My bedroom is about 12 square meters (130 square feet) with a ceiling height of 2.45 meters (8 feet). I have planned approximately 2.5 meters (8 feet) of wall space for the wardrobe. Sliding doors are probably the best option, as there is limited space in front of the wardrobe for doors to open. I prefer a mix of shelves and hanging rails for shirts and jackets.
Do you have recommendations on how to best organize the interior and what depth would be suitable? The standard depth is 58 cm (23 inches), right?
