Hello,

I have a question about my new build.

The heating system is located in the attic in a separate insulated room.
Type: Buderus Logamax plus GB152-16/24/24k

The heating room is constantly at least 30°C (86°F). I have already insulated some pipes carrying hot water (did the installer forget this?), which helped somewhat, but it is still very warm.

This heat surprises me because my parents have a new heating system that does not emit any noticeable heat. Their heating cellar is now cool.

Do you have any ideas?
Is this normal?

Thanks!

Hello Jordy
For the condensing boiler to function properly, the room must have a small fresh air opening of about 150 cm2 (23 square inches).
In addition to the heating and water pipes, which should be well insulated, you also have the flue pipe leading to the chimney. Since the flue gas temperature is between 50-70°C (122-158°F), the flue pipe (if not insulated) also releases quite a bit of heat.
