ᐅ Is a floor drain pump for the shower a reliable long-term solution?

I want to replace my old shower with a more modern one. Normally this would be straightforward, if it weren’t for the persistent issue of insufficient slope towards the drain. The current drain in the shower tray is about 6 cm (2.4 inches) above the tiled floor.
For a flush-to-floor drain as I want, I was considering a shower drain pump. However, what holds me back is that I can’t imagine this being a long-lasting, reliable solution.
As an alternative, I could install a shower tray raised by about 6 cm (2.4 inches). This “old school” solution would have a raised threshold at the entrance, which I actually want to avoid.
My question is:
Does anyone have long-term experience (more than 5 years) with shower drain pumps and could share whether my concerns are unfounded?
Thank you very much.
