Hello everyone,

We have just received the detailed specification for our foundation slab. It is described as an energy-saving slab with a footing. The following items are listed as part of the scope:

-> Prepare fine grading on top of the gravel fill provided by the builder
-> Install edge elements and 220mm (9 inches) of insulation under the slab
-> Lay heating pipes and control technology for the heating zones
-> Connect the manifold and install the distribution cabinet
-> Reinforcement according to structural engineering plans
-> Supply actuators
-> Footing structural engineering
-> Pipe layout plan for the heating pipes
-> Place 100mm (4 inches) concrete B25 and smooth it according to screed standards (DIN)

Are there any essential components missing that should still be included in the offer or that we should keep in mind?

Is the described foundation slab construction related to concrete core activation, which can be beneficial for energy efficiency when using a heat pump, or are these unrelated?

Best regards and thanks,
Christian
