ᐅ Is Public Construction Supervision Required for New Builds?

Hello everyone,

An architect whom I would hire for design phases 1 to 4 also offered the official building supervision and said that this is mandatory in Saarland.

Other architects have not offered this. Is this strictly required?

It depends on who is supposed to take on the construction management. Traditionally, this is either the architect or the contractor. A specific person must be designated to the building authority (building permit/planning permission office).
