ᐅ Is a partial demolition down to the basement considered new construction or a renovation of an existing building?

My question is related to the fact that there are different funding programs for new construction and renovations.
How should my project be categorized?
Is the demolition down to the basement already considered new construction, or is it still classified as an existing building renovation?

What you are planning is already new construction. You will also need a building permit / planning permission.

P.S. I assume that you will rebuild after the demolition. Because pure demolition alone is not eligible for funding.
