Hello everyone!
I have a question about whether it is advisable to install a solar system on an older house. The house was built in 1983. Does anyone have any information?

A good combination, although direct self-consumption only works or makes sense indirectly.

Best regards

What do you mean by "indirect"? You can operate a heat pump using electricity from photovoltaic panels, right?! That’s what the photovoltaic system manufacturer told us anyway.

It is very important that the roof is suitable for a solar system in terms of its condition. I would recommend consulting your trusted roofer and discussing everything with them. Some solar companies also have their own roofers as part of their workforce.

Hello Jenny, I assume you mean installing a solar system for electricity generation. Have someone calculate how long the payback period is and how long the system will remain operational. If the roof is structurally sound for that duration, then go ahead and install it.
