Hello everyone,

to get straight to the point – is the wall in the original photo of our house made of masonry, or is it timber frame construction like the rest of the house? As a layperson, it’s quite confusing.

Thanks, it would be great if someone could share their experience and clarify this for us.

Unfinished house on construction site with building materials; round concrete ring in the foreground.

Timber frame house under construction; roof structure visible, construction worker standing on the scaffolding.

Nothing is visible in the photos. What does your house’s building file say? You can find all the information there.

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, we don’t have the building file at the moment, so I guess we’ll have to be patient. I also find it incredibly difficult.

Try photographing the photos better: use the available natural light, use the scanning function on your phone, meaning scan flat without flash. That way, you might be able to see more details. To me, this looks like those blue-toned bricks often used in the 60s and 70s.

I was about to make an effort to provide an answer for you when I noticed how little engagement you showed already in your first thread https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/hauskauf-fertigbauweise-teilmassiv-bj-1980-ehrliche-kaufberatung.48293/.
