Hello everyone,
I would like to build a simple kitchen unit, meaning: just 6 Metod base cabinets side by side and then a countertop on top.
I’m wondering if I can skip the mounting rail as well? I would prefer to screw 4 legs under each base cabinet and then align the individual cabinets that way. If this works, which legs should I use if I also want a kickboard? I believe there is only one type of leg in this case. Can I use these legs for the back part of the base cabinet as well?
Thank you very much for your help.

You can download the installation guide for the base cabinet; it shows the mounting without a rail quite clearly. Wall mounting is required – if you screw together six base cabinets and do not equip them all with drawers, load them heavily, and open them all at the same time, it will still be quite stable.
