due to my ideal planning, it would be necessary for the oven/stove and the range hood not to be installed exactly where the stove connection and the outlet for the range hood are, but 40cm (16 inches) aside. Is there anything to consider in this case? The electrician should be able to extend the cable for the oven, right? For the range hood, I would choose one with a cabinet, so that when placing cabinet next to cabinet, the cable can be routed behind the cabinets to the outlet and hidden.
Is this feasible?
Regards,
Daniel

IKEA-Experte26 Apr 2014 20:40As long as the edges of the cabinets do not cover the electrical outlets, there should be no problem. Make sure the cooktop connection remains easily accessible. If the outlet for the extractor fan ends up behind another cabinet, I would run a short extension cable upwards so that the connection can be disconnected without having to remove the cabinet.

Is there enough space behind a cabinet for an outlet including the plug?
Do you then need to cut a hole in the range hood so that the cable can exit the hood?

IKEA-Experte27 Apr 2014 12:08Hello Daniel,
I don’t know how deep the recess of the back panel is. I estimate that with the mounting rail there is about 2-3 cm (around 1 inch) of space. A flat plug could fit. If necessary, the back panel would have to be cut out at that spot.

You would also need to route it through the overhead cabinet next to it, right?
Best regards
